Hi, I'm still here bothering everybody :) I've though that with 1.0.1 release of xine-lib the problems about XvMC wer= e=20 gone, but the problems are still here and I just received a bug report abou= t=20 them. Seems also that the patch I sent some days ago isn't enough now as=20 there's something other which needs to be fixed. Just to remember that to who will take a look, $x_includes *can* be empty i= f=20 the includes are already in the default path, like is on many gentoo system= s. That said, as the xvmc patch is not the only one needed (I've also refined = the=20 configure.ac patch itself), I think it's simpler to who wants to take a loo= k=20 to get the patch tarball I've prepared for current xine-lib version. It's=20 available at=20 http://dev.gentoo.org/~flameeyes/distfiles/xine-lib-patches-1.tar.bz2. Other than the configure and xvmc patches I did myself, there are in that=20 package also other patches added in old revisions at gentoo, for example on= e=20 to support 2.6 kernel headers, other two patches for configure.ac which fix= es=20 sparc and hppa detection codes, a patch for pic support (-DPIC isn't always= =20 there, __PIC__ is the define added by gcc when compiling with -fPIC), and a= =20 patch for gcc4 support, user-submited with a couple of my changes. I hope that at least some of those patches can be applied upstream for next= =20 version 1.0.2 or whatever will come, as this would make simpler the=20 maintaining of gentoo's package. Thanks in advance, =2D-=20 Diego "Flameeyes" Petten=F2 Gentoo Developer (Gentoo/FreeBSD, Video, Gentoo/AMD64) http://dev.gentoo.org/~flameeyes/ |
