This means the compiler has crashed, which points to a bug in gcc.

The correct solution would be to find a gcc version that compiles this without 
crashing, but as a workaround, try lowering the optimization. You could, for 
example, do this:

* run "make all" in the xine-lib toplevel directory and wait until it crashes
* cd into the directory, where the crash happens
* run "make debug" there and watch the output
* if this does compile the file successfully, wait until compilation of this
  one file has finished, then interrupt the "make debug" with Ctrl-C
* go back to the xine-lib toplevel directory and run "make all" again
