Firstly, I'd like to add to the recent thanks on this list to the xine developers. It's a great application and I'm very impressed with the playback quality. My sole remaining snag is audio passthrough to my AV receiver. Setting passthrough in xine works great for Dolby Digital and DTS. However, the DVDs I've made from my MythTV/PVR-350 recordings are using MP2 audio (I think this is correct). When I play those DVDs in xine, I hear no audio. I assumed this is because my AV receiver can't deal with MP2 audio. Is there a setting that will allow passthrough of AC3 and DD, but then do a decode with MP2, similar to what one can do with mplayer and the "-ac hwac3," setting? I searched the user archives for "MP2" but did not see any messages that seemed applicable. Thanks for the help. |
