The quitest solution for you will be creating the file ~/.xitkrc and
define there working alias font:

font.default =3D -lucida -*-i*-*12-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

You must keep right number of '*'. There have corrected some font names
since xine-ui 0.9.23 in skins so it behaves better.
