hallo there, just a quick job offering here: it would be great to have an editor for the xine website. you should be the marketing-type person who knows how to write catchy taglines and news items and you should be able to identify with xine's "professional touch" self-presentation style (in contrast to another big media player project out there... ;> ) your duty would be to keep the xine website up-to-date, especially writing news items reflecting what is going on behind the scenes (new releases of xine and it's frontends, other xine-related news events...) so basically you should keep in touch with the xine community and look at the xine mailing lists from time to time. 1-2 news items per month would be sufficient, so this is definitely not too much work - the trick is to do it regularly and reliably for the coming months/years. anyone interested? thanks, guenter -- Speaking of love, one problem that recurs more and more frequently these days, in books and plays and movies, is the inability of people to communicate with the people they love; Husbands and wives who can't communicate, children who can't communicate with their parents, and so on. And the characters in these books and plays and so on (and in real life, I might add) spend hours bemoaning the fact that they can't communicate. I feel that if a person can't communicate, the very least he can do is to Shut Up! -- Tom Lehrer, "That Was the Year that Was" |
