Hi Joel, Sorry that it took me so long to get back to this problem, but I had a lot of other stuff to do. But I haven't forgotten you... > Here is a sample of some of the messages put out into the console: > > xine: xine_play > dxr3_decode_video: dxr3_scr plugin is master > dxr3_decode_video: in sync, stream locked > xine: xine_play_internal ...done > dxr3_spu_encoder: initialized > vo_scale: frame source 592 x 448 (592 x 448) => screen output 634 x > 480 vo_scale: frame source 592 x 448 (592 x 448) => screen output 634 > x 480 vo_scale: frame source 592 x 448 (592 x 448) => screen output > 1015 x 768 vo_scale: frame source 592 x 448 (592 x 448) => screen > output 1015 x 768 vo_scale: frame source 592 x 448 (592 x 448) => > screen output 634 x 480 vo_scale: frame source 592 x 448 (592 x 448) > => screen output 634 x 480 vo_scale: frame source 592 x 448 (592 x > 448) => screen output 634 x 480 input_dvd.c: open_plugin called. > input_dvd.c:open_plugin:dvd_device=/dev/cdrom > libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version 1-beta1 from http://xine.sf.net > libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.4 for DVD access > VM DVD Title: IN_THE_NAME_OF_THE_FATHER > > I guess you're looking for problems with vo_scale? From that output > it doesn't seem like anything is out of the ordinary. That's right. The only explanation I can think of is that you have a revision of the card that does not get the height of the overlay right. It might even be a problem of the interaction of your graphics card with the dxr3. Since the keycolor area which is painted in green inside your video window has the exact same coordinates that are passed to the dxr3 as overlay position, you should never see the keycolor spilling out at the top or the bottom unless the card does something wrong. Let's confirm this theory: I attached a patch that will shrink the keycolor area by two lines: One at the top and one at the bottom. If your problem goes away with this patch, I will make this a config entry. Michael -- "Beware of bugs in the above code; I have only proved it correct, not tried it." -Donald E. Knuth |
