[xine-user] installing xine-0.9.17

ok, I dont know if I did this right, but i downloaded xine-lib-beta2 and =
xine-ui-0.9.17 and extracted the tars. configured and builded =
xine-lib-beta2, then configured my ld.so.conf file then ldconfig. Then =
when I configure the ui, I get this message:

checking for XINE-LIB version >=3D 1.0.0... no
*** The xine-config script installed by XINE could not be found
*** If XINE was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the XINE_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to xine-config.
configure: error: *** You should install xine-lib first ***

I'm not sure if I downloaded the right lib.. if not can someone direct =
me to the correct one? Also I'm running Suse 8.1 so I might have to =
configure XINE_CONFIG. What would I put to configure that in Suse?
