From what I know, Darwin is only on MacOS X. No, the "Quicktime streaming server" was one of the first Open Source projects Apple released in their post-MkLinux life. Sources and binaries: http://developer.apple.com/darwin/projects/streaming/ Mdk has RPMs under the name: "DarwinStreamingServer".
