Updating 13.1.0.5.9476 embedded directly towards 13.1.0.5.9581 leaves GUI unusable. After login, a reduced menu bar without header/logo is shown and system status is displayed as it is on newly installed XigmaNAS instances. Upper lefthand a symbol of vertical streaks gives a dropdown menu representing vertically all head menu entries now in a dropdown variant. Execpt "home" none of the menu entries is working/responding. URLs embedded in the status overviw (like the ZFS volume, CPU info) operate, but there is no header menu present.

How can I restore previous functionality or how can I reach the php scripts to run to solve the problem? SSH access is still working as usual.

Thanks in advance.

Seems that picking up any .php script located in /usr/local/www/ which has a "change and save" capability seems to fix the problem not having any subemu at hand.

Still the very poor and reduced menu is present - is this the new design?

A css to bring back the top menu is available. Go to /system_webgui.php and scroll down to CSS Settings > Navigation Bar. Select /usr/local/www/css/navbar-until-2022-12-31.css, activate "Replace the default CSS file" and save and apply the settings. Refresh your browser or clear your browser cache.

I too have run into this change. I have attempted the workaround change published here but it issues an error message when choosing it - I navigated to the folder and selected the file directly as to not make a spelling error - it allows it to be saved but when issuing APPLY at bottom of screen:

    The following errors were detected:
Navbar Style: The value is invalid.

I would appreciate going back to the original horizontal menu bar as default. It does not use up much real-estate and the drop-down vertical menu is very clunky to work with using a mouse and slows down the selection process. Thank you.
