Hi Peter,

The "Debian Fonts Task Force" team received the request
to package your xgridfit package for Debian. But there
are some problems which burdens this task.

First of all your archives has no COPYING file or other
allusion about the license. All the files in the lib
directory have the refer to GPL, but how about other
files?

Also it would be better for us, if you'd agree to ship
one archive in common with documentation. We would do
two binary packages (xgridfit and xgridfit-doc), but
one source package would be better for us.

I have prepared the new archive (attached) for xgridfit
package. It would be very good if you accepted some of
my suggestions. There also is the Makefile with an
"install", "uninstall" and other targets. It is not
necessary, but very convenience to have such one.

On the Debian every executable script must have the man
pages. So we (debian package maintainers) must make
such files and submit it to upstream. I have prepared
earlier these files and my be you will accept it too.

I am waiting your new archive on the sourceforge.net
with accepted of some of my suggestions (especially about
COPYING file). After this I will offer the xgridfit
package for debian archives.

Best wishes

Thanks for these changes. I'll make a new release incorporating these and a few of my own when I return from vacation (11 June).

There is now a new version (0.6) that includes the latest changes to the program, as well as the Makefile, COPYING, man pages and all documentation. Again, thanks for the suggestions, and let me know if anything else is needed for Debian.
