I have a question to the veterans of this wonderful software, but first, I
want to thank those responsible for bringing such an amazing project to light.
I love this software and can't thank enough those involved in its conception.

My question: If I want to setup an analysis for a foil... no problem, I get
great results. But what if I want to analyze a foil with a slotted flap at
40˚? Or, what if I wanted to test a double slotted foil? Do I need to build a
"plane" just so I'm able to introduce more control surfaces? Then there is the
matter of getting the odd shaped elements into a coordinates file? I have the
elements in vector, but don't know of any software that will convert vector to
    coordinates (manual process?).

    Thanks.

There is an option to define a trailing edge or a leading edge flap for a
foil. It should be possible to set simultaneously the T.E. and L.E. flaps on
an airfoil, but I haven't really tested it yet.
Otherwise, it is possible to export a foiled flap from xflr5 to a text file
and vice versa. The format is the usual standard with first the foil's name,
then the coordinates starting at the T.E. to the LE by way of the upper
surface, and back to the T.E.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks.
I'm aware that I can export and import foils as coordinate files, but the
common reference point (a coordinate file) is not a common export feature of
just any software. I was hoping someone might know of a program that will
generate a coordinate file from a vector drawing.
