#68 building rodent against gtk2

Dear EdScott;
I successfully build and installed rodent with your help on librfm.la problem.
as far as your code shows it looks for available gtk version while configuring and then build rodent application based on that. if I want too build rodent applications against gtk2:

1. do I loose any features? is rodent applications work better with gtk3 or gtk2?
2. which one is faster rodent build with gtk2 or gtk3?

Hi,
If you have gtk3 installed, to force a build of librfm with gtk2, you must use --enable-gtk2 option to configure. If you do not have gtk3 installed, it will use gtk2 with no option needed (for gtk>2.16)

The minimum version of GTK2 is 2.16, but you will lose the toolbar buttons. For toolbar buttons the minimum version is 2.20. With gtk2, the pathbar may not display correctly under particular circumstances (rare)
I believe rodent is faster with gtk3, but this may just be my imagination. If you have other gtk3 programs running, then it will share the library and make load faster. Same for gtk2.
