Currently, the mount/umount icons in the Tools toolbar are greyed out. If these we left active users could simply go to Preferences>Programs and specify a program or script that would manually mount any drive or network share.

Thanks for the great file manager.

To let Xfe mount / unmount file systems, these have to be declared in your /etc/fstab.

In Edit / Preferences you can specify which program to use to mount / unmount these file systems. The default programs are mount and umount.

Thank you Roland for your reply.  My use is to mount removable drives or file shares without editing /etc/fstab.  Currently I can do it with scripts/programs in the scripts folder, but would like to do it from an icon in the tool bar.  Would it be possible to add an icon to the Tools toolbar where the user could specify a custom action?   I think this would add functionality for many users.

      Thanks
      Gary
