xfe is an orthodox file manager (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_manager#Orthodox_file_managers), i.e. like Norton Commander.

Someone has taken the time to put together an implementation standard. It's very exacting, but I think it would be good if xfe complied - if only because I would be able to use xfe's interface and be comfortable with it on my Windows or Mac file managers.

I'm a big fan of xfe, but my biggest annoyance is the non-standard key bindings, which cannot be changed. Designing towards this standard would help.

Thanks for all the good work,

Iain

    Hi,
thanks for the link, I didn't knew it.
However, you will be glad since the new Xfe version (still in the pipe but 99.99% finished) implements configurable keyboard shortcuts.
Just a thing : Xfe will not run on Windows because this not (yet!) a Unix based system.
    Best regards,
    RB
