Hi, to remove all bookmarks use the menu item Bookmarsk / Remove all bookmarks.
To modify or remove a single bookmark, right click on it and use the menu items.

OK, I see: the features I indicated above are in Xfe 2.1.2, not in version 1.45 which is quite old.
And yes, in Xfe 1.45 there is no way to edit book marks...

Thx! Debian is quite late in updating `xfe' to the latest version
it seems. I wonder why! I'll install the latest on my own! Thx
again!

Xfe 2.1.2 is a typo, right? Or is there a new version I'm not aware of?
In Xfe 2.1.1, by the way, there is no context menu for bookmarks. Right-clicking on one does the same as clicking (it opens it).
Edit: I've tried this on a new profile.

You can safely install the deb package in Debian, but you need to uninstall first the xfe-i18n, xfe-themes and xfe previous official Debian packages if you have them installed, otherwise you'll encounter some conflict. And you must have the FOX library installed on your system (but Debian has the packages).
Or you can use the .run package. By default it will be installed in /usr/local. This package doesn't require the FOX library.

No - not on my installation! Right-click on a bookmark takes me to
that directory. No menu is offered.
$ xfe -v
xfe version 1.45
running on Linux antiX-22.3

Yes, 2.1.2 is a typo.
Right clicking on bookmarks works in the Places panel, not in the Bookmarks menu...
Is there a pre-built binary available for linux debian? I am having trouble compiling from source because of the FOX library - I think it's FOX??
Yes, it's there: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xfe/files/xfe/2.1.1/

Tabernacle, ça n'a pas marché ;-)
First it's not necessary to rebuild Xfe in Debian. Just do (as root, assuming you already have the official Xfe Debian package installed):
apt remove xfe xfe-i18n xfe-themes
dpkg -i xfe_2.1.1-1jammy_amd64.deb
If you really want to rebuild Xfe, just follow the instruction here: http://roland65.free.fr/xfe/index.php?page=download
I think what you forgot is to do this before building:
cp xfe-2.1.1.tar.xz xfe_2.1.1.orig.tar.xz
Bonne chance !
Merci! mons vieux!! Tout va bien dans la cabane maintenant. I got 2.1.1 installed and found where to nuke the bookmarks that I don't want. Thx again!! Go Habs Go! 😄
Formidable!
