Debian 10 in Amd 64 When I press F4 to edit, the cursor moves down 4 or 5 lines and another file is edited!
OK, I can reproduce the bug. It seems to happen when the file under cursor has no association or is a folder. Thanks for the report.
This is fixed in Xfe 1.46.
