#329 Metadata plugin - support for different extraction programs

Currently the Metadata plugin is coded to work explicitly with Exiftool. It would be desirable if this was extended to support other tools that may generate metadata or scripts that may be written. This would involve allowing the user to specify the parameters sent to the metadata extraction program to some extent (an probably some control around the expected output format).
