One of the transfer jobs I am running through DPR contains 3 wav files that fail to normalise. DPR Production version 5.0.4

They are all identified as RIFF (little-endian0 data WAVE Audio, IMA ADPCM, mono 22050 Hz

I seem to recall that there used to be problems normalising audio files with some particular combination of bitrates etc, but I cannot see it listed here.

I can provide the suspect files if needed

When I run exiftool on the files, I get the following:

    ExifTool Version Number : 8.40
    File Name : TRAN.002.0037_A.wav
    Directory : .
    File Size : 18 MB
    File Modification Date/Time : 2011:01:17 13:33:15+11:00
    File Permissions : rwxrwxr-x
    File Type : WAV
    MIME Type : audio/x-wav
    Encoding : Intel IMA/DVI-ADPCM
    Num Channels : 1
    Sample Rate : 22050
Avg Bytes Per Sec : 11100
    Bits Per Sample : 4
    Duration : 27:56

I have tested conversion of these files via command line.

When I run the command: flac [file], I get the following error: TRAN.002.0037_A.wav: ERROR: unsupported format type 17

I installed shntool to get more info on the files but when I run the command: shntool len [file], I get the following error: unsupported format 0x0011 (IMA ADPCM) while processing file

I found an issue raised on the FLAC SourceForge Supoport Request tracker ID: 2965861 (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2965861&group_id=13478&atid=213478)

It appears to be due to a problem with the encoding used to create the WAV files: Intel IMA/DVI-ADPCM
