Agencies are being advised that:
"we recommend using web archiving tools that generate ISO 28500 compliant files. ISO 28500 is the standard for the WARC (Web ARChiving) file format and is adopted by web archives. The WARC format specifies a method for combining multiple digital resources into aggregate archival files as well as the metadata and abbreviated duplicate files."
It would be nice if the web normaliser could handle that format as an input format. I assume that we would still want to wrap individual pages/images/etc separately.
We seem to be getting more and more requests about transferring records in WARC format. Could we bump up the priority a bit? Or at least allocate the request to our poor, overworked, single, solitary, lone programmer?
