Hello

Trying to compile xeis-1.1d
(MACHTYPE=i586-mandrake-linux-gnu)
I obtained the error

c++ -DPACKAGE=\"xeis\" -DVERSION=\"1.1d\" -I. -I.
-I/home/lombardi/xeis/root/include -D_REENTRANT
-DSTANDALONE
-I/home/lombardi/xeis/libxml2-2.4.22/include -g -O2 -c
elasticityDict.cpp
elasticityDict.cpp:62: syntax error before `('
make: *** [elasticityDict.o] Erreur 1

The offending line is:

static Atom::R__Init __gR__InitAtom(0);

Since I have no root access (it is a general purpose
machine in the lab) all is installed in subdirectories
of $HOME/xeis,
namely root libxml2-2.4.22 xpm-3.4j xeis-1.1d
root is version 3.3.06
I source the following file:

export ROOTSYS=~/xeis/root
export PATH=$ROOTSYS/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ROOTSYS/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export LDFLAGS=-L$HOME/xeis/libxml2-2.4.22/.libs
export CPPFLAGS=-I$HOME/xeis/libxml2-2.4.22/include
export XPM=$HOME/xeis/xpm-3.4j/lib

Any hint ?

Maurice
