I recently upgraded from Scientific Linux 6.10 to Debian 10.4. Now, when I run xdvik, it runs mktexpk for numerous files, then concludes that the fonts already exist. Every time, for the same document. That didn't used to happen. kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 1+57/600 --dpi 657 cmsy10 mktexpk: /home/vsnyder/.texlive2016/texmf- var/fonts/pk/ljfour/public/cm/cmsy10.657pk already exists. I tried the default installed ones /usr/bin/xdvi (22.87.03) and /usr/bin/xdvi-xaw (22.87.03), /usr/local/texlive/2016/bin/id86- linux/xdvi (22.87.03), and xdvi-motif.bin from my own compilation (22.84.16). I found a thread about this at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/comp.text.tex/EwH0NxOSSCM/QUgZoNhafSQJ , but the (slender) advice therein didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions? |
