Is XDM running when you get this error?
Are you using any VPN or proxy server?
Are you using any 3rd party firewall?

You need to configure your proxy settings so that localhost and 127.0.0.1 is bypassed.
You can google "how to bypass local adress from proxy" or have a look here:
