Ronald, Hoping this email gets to you. It appears my normal Gmail account is getting blocked at your end with the message: 550 Spam message rejected If this gets to you - No, I have not been getting any emails from the email list - and I have been wondering why the traffic level is so low. Ronald - thank you very much for the complete solution! Much appreciated. I had also posted on the XCSoar forum, another person noted it seemed only 'm' was accepted. Thanks for clarifying on the 'f'. Locally we have a lot of existing .cup files with 'ft'; hopefully, they can make it a bit backward compatible and accept either. https://forum.xcsoar.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4304 <https://forum.xcsoar.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4304> Best regards! Norbert, thanks for the reply. What troubles me is it used to show the correct altitude of 1709 ft. Then, after a reboot, no elevation is shown... Folks - this has me really scratching my head. Just upgraded to the latest, 7.41 Android. Had been running something older, last update probably 18 months. The cup file is attached. It's used by our Club for Condor, you can see that after the style (set to 1), all the other info is gone. This was done to make the all visible in the flight planner. At the top you can see two entries for our home airport, Harris Hill, we have the elev at 1709ft. I've also attached of the data displayed for the waypoint in XCSoar, elev 1558ft -- and a view of the cup file in the XCSoardata dir showing 1709ft. Not sure why XCSoar is locked on to 1558? Earlier I had played with using a '0' in the elevation field for the waypoint. From the manual XCSoar will determine using terrain elevation data, the 1558 was close for our area. But it won't go back to 1709? Is there any caching of waypoint info? Now I closed XCsoar, restarted my tablet, didn't change any data sources. If I look at the waypoint, "?" for elevation data Any suggestions are welcome! John -- John Murtari jo...@mu... 315-944-0998 (office) 315-430-2702 (cell) |

Hi, Please accept my apologies for spamming the mailing list, but I'm desperate! I was active in XCSoar some years ago with an active username of 'paynterf' and an email address of 'pay...@gm...', but now those creds don't work. Unfortunately, the 'forgotten password' option doesn't work either as I never get a password reset email (and yes, I have checked spam and trash). At one point I had the option to send an email to a support address, but now that is no longer available either. If anyone can fix this, or pass my plea to someone who can, I would much appreciate it. TIA, Frank -- G.Frank Paynter, PhD OSU ESL Research Scientist (ret) EM Workbench LLC 614 638-6749 (cell) |

Hi! I am having problem with Xcsoar and the way we define the airspace for championships. The airspace is defined by NOTAM. In order to make it simple for pilots we define a prohibit surronding area and a prohibit superior limit airspace, using OpenAir. The result is a free inner airspace. It works for others tatical glide program, but not for Xcsoar when it is a double closed loop: one that defines the inner lateral limit anspace and the other that define the extent of the prohibit space (a surrounding square). For example: * Lateral Limits AC P AN Lateral Limits AL GND AH FL350 DP 28:00:00 S 054:00:0 W DP 27:00:00 S 053:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 052:00:0 W DP 29:00:00 S 053:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 054:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 055:00:0 W DP 26:00:00 S 055:00:0 W DP 26:00:00 S 051:00:0 W DP 30:00:00 S 051:00:0 W DP 30:00:00 S 055:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 055:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 054:00:0 W The expected result would be free a inner diamond airspace. Unfortunatly Xcsoar shows it right for a second and than shows all the interior of the square as prohibit. The work arround is to open a bit and make it one loop only: * Lateral Limits AC P AN Lateral Limits AL GND AH FL350 DP 28:00:00 S 054:00:0 W DP 27:00:00 S 053:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 052:00:0 W DP 29:00:00 S 053:00:0 W DP 28:00:30 S 054:00:0 W <--- instead of 28:00:00 S DP 28:00:30 S 055:00:0 W <--- DP 30:00:00 S 055:00:0 W DP 30:00:00 S 051:00:0 W DP 26:00:00 S 051:00:0 W DP 26:00:00 S 055:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 055:00:0 W DP 28:00:00 S 054:00:0 W I am using Xcsoar 7.40. I'm using xcsoar 6.8.12 on an android phone, using a ioio connected to an atr833s via a rs232 shifter. I'm using the atr833 driver. The frequency is selected after the first press for me." /Also dachte ich klasse! es muss ja doch irgendwie gehen und habe in das Forum geschrieben: Hello r0w4n <https://github.com/r0w4n>, that is exactly what I have been trying to do for half a year! Since 2014 I have been using an IOIO with two RS232 inputs (ANDROPORT) and have connected FLARM and a Zander ZS1 to it without any problems. Now I also wanted to connect the ATR833S to my Android tablet, so I got a Soartronic IOIO UART interface board V.2e, which has three serial RS232 inputs and one TTL input. FLARM and Zander worked immediately without problems, but I can't get any data from the ATR833. The f.u.n.k.e. support does not even know what an IOIO is!! * What is the exact configuration of your devices? Which HW version does your ATR833 have? (for me it is HW 1.0) Which SW version does your ATR833 have? (for me it is SW 1.03) Supposedly nothing has changed on the serial interface since then. * Which IOIO do you use? * Why did you use a shifter? (as far as I know, it brings a TTL input to RS232 level). But the serial interface of the ATR833S is already on RS232 level according to the manufacturer's support? I would be very grateful for any advice, If this had worked for me last year, I'm sure I could have avoided damage to the landing gear!" For example, the Nano could be unreachable. Or it could already be connected to another device (your computer?) or to another app (LXNAV's NanoConfig?). Or Bluetooth could be turned off. Try with XCSoar-testing (7.0 preview), it shows more verbose error messages. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Developer Access Program for Intel Xeon Phi Processors Access to Intel Xeon Phi processor-based developer platforms. Hi all, I use XCSoar in gliding since many years in different versions and on different systems and thanks, it works very well - I like it very much! But now I got a problem after upgrading my Kobo Mini to XCSoar 7.5-PRE. This version solved the freezed screen problem after booting but I realized another problem: Before I call XCSoar I prepare the connection to my WiFi-AP (transparent-serial connection to my FLARM). It works - I allways get an IP address and a WiFi connection. But after calling XCSoar and configuring the NMEA interface I do not get any data from my WiFi-AP. The message I get is "Nicht verbunden" (not connected). XCSoar version: XCSoar v7.5-Kobo~git#dfd7a92f0b6 NMEA config: Anschluss: TCP-Client IP address: 192.168.1.1 TCP port: 2000 Treiber: FLARM The same configuration works on XCSoar v6.8.17-Kobo very well. Does anybody have an idea how to solve this? Thanks in advance Regards Dieter |

When my Kobo Glo works on the ereader default software the screen is fully enlightened and can also be tuned from 0 to 100%. While, after installing XCSoar on the Kobo Glo the screen does not turns on, even if I push the light button. Actually I'm running XCSoar 7.0. Many thanks for any help. |
