I would like to control my RX-320, as outlined in countless How-to's referencing the XClass libraries. I have been trying for nearly a week, to install XClass on a variety of machines and distributions, at least both Debian and Ubuntu, 32 and 64.

I am following the README instructions to the letter, but it will not compile. I get:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lxclass
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXext
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: [example] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/larry/Downloads/xclass-0.9.2/example-app'
[all] Error 2

I also get the same error, when I go ahead and try to compile RX320.

Other times, it ends with "fatal error: X11/Xlib.h: No such file or directory.

I have already installed "libx11-dev"

Am I barking up the wrong tree? Is this even still possible? This thing looks mighty old... I appreciate any help!
