Thanks Tim. I tried that, but no joy. Next I tried
doing a clean install of cygwin on another PC making doubly sure there  
were no other version of Tcl/Tk around and starting again. I still had  
problems with undefined references to "_Tcl" stuff in the same files.

I suppose I could revert to xcircuit_win_tcl.zip, but it would be nice to  
figure this out if you can think of other things I can try?
