X-Chat 2.x fails to recognize numerics 330 and 338 on
ircu-based networks (Undernet, QuakeNET, GamesNET). These
numerics are used to show account authentication information,
and a realhost/real IP for +x users (including yourself)

Here is a patch against 2.0.3 that adds these numerics. I've also
written a gentoo ebuild to incorporate this patch.

I forgot to include the URL to the ebuild (as well as log in,
    apparently)...

    http://phaseburn.net/gentoo-stuff/xchat-2.0.3-r2.ebuild

This ebuild merges this patch, and 774958's patch.

Bug [774937] filed against this patch. I will have to remove it.

Lack of support for 330 is also a problem in other chat
clients. Current versions of mIRC, for example, have fixed
it, but other notable actors such as Mozilla's ChatZilla
    haven't. See Bugzilla #217474 at
    http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217474
