Jarrod,
Taking into account what you said about the history of naming of confluent back in the initial zoom meeting, xCAT has history and is unique with no namespace collisions. Why not use your previous suggestion of xCAT with a postfix like 3, or  if not a number, then xcat-ng or even xcat-confluent?
