The eventlog tab cannot be edited,so I don't know how to clear the data in this table. It gets larger and larger.

bash-3.2# tabedit eventlog
The auditlog and eventlog tables may not be edited. Editing will cause index regeneration.

By the way you can limit what gets put in the auditlog by using the site.
auditskipcmds  attribute.    See tabdump -d site.

   It is designed this way.  You can tel from the message.
# tabedit eventlog
The auditlog and eventlog tables may not be edited. Editing will cause
index regeneration.

Why do you want to edit the eventlog table?  It is supposed to be
readonly.

we designed to not allow tabedit to edit the eventlog and auditlog tables?

tabprune can clean the data and it works well. But tabedit cannot be used
in this table even if there are few records. Is it possible to be designed
for this?

tabprune can be used clean the eventlog table and auditlog table. I guess
the reason why you can not edit eventlog table is that the table is too big
and tabedit respond very slow.
