I just tried upgrading from XCA 0.9.3 which I had been previously using. XCA 0.9.3 has in its XCA menu on a Mac an entry at the top of that menu called 'About xca' as expected as this is the standard location for this on a Mac. Selecting this in 0.9.3 then does again as expect display a dialog box showing the version number and related information.
However xca 1.0 does not list an 'About xca' choice in the xca menu on the same Mac. Even taking in to account the previously reported bug of it incorrectly only running in French this is still clear enough to see (or not).
In xca 1.0 on the same Mac I currently only get the following choices -
Préférences…
–––––
Services
–––––
Masquer xca
Masquer les autres
Tout afficher
–––––
Quitter xca
Even with my practically non-existent French I can tell that the above corresponds to
Preferences…
–––––
Services
–––––
Hide xca
Hide others
Show all
–––––
Quit xca
with no choice for About xca.
This is on a Mac mini with 8GB of RAM running OS X 10.9.4 (Mavericks). The Mac is set to United Kingdom localisation and keyboard layout.
This is a side effect of the french translation.
You will find it in the last menu entry (Aide -> A propos)
