Did you install libusb-win32? Does testlibusb-win.exe list the dongle?
I suspect so, as you write "FT2232 dongle is detected correctly", but your
wording is not exact. If the libusb basic layer works. What happens when you
press cancel on the "Application. Do you gat a backtrace? if not, any chance
you compile the program from source and debug a little?
