hi
i have a xilinx virtex 5 , i have compiled and installed your program .
i want to write a bit file directly to chip using a programmer .
i can see the device in lsusb command , but whenever i check using -c xpc -j using your program , it shows "that no dongle found" message .
can you help me find where is the problem ?

What system are you running? If you are on Windows, did you install the libusb driver? If you are on xx_nix, do you have access rights to the dongle?
it is not windows it is an arm platform running ubunto .
Please, provide more information and experiment yourself. E.g. do you have access rights to the dongle? Where does strace show problems? Does the dongle work for you on a X86 machine with xc3sprog? And so on...
i am root on os . it doesn't show any other error , but dongle is fine the led is not on because the driver can't connect i guess .
because i have tested the setup on a windows system using xilinx impact and it works fine .
also when i run lsusb , it shows xilinx in usb device list .
