I want to incorporate xBRZ into Warzone 2100, an open source 3D RTS, but the WZ source code is not licensed under GPLv3, it's GPLv2. to up the version would require significant research and administration.
What's your thoughts about licensing it as GPLv2-or-later ?

I agree it's very boring and tedious, in that case I was hoping (perhaps dreaming) you could license it for the Warzone 2100 project under GPLv2 until we upgrade.
Otherwise we need to continue looking, thanks ...

I find license minutiae a very boring topic, so I just chose GPLv3 and am planning to stick with it.
O no 😢

Funny how small open source devs seem to care more about licenses than the "big guys" (cough Nintendo cough) https://twitter.com/lunasorcery/status/1242569546038460416
Sorry for offending you. You know OS games have very slow decision processes and many members, democracy is not without its kinks.
No problem and I wish you all the best!
You're not offending at all. I'm just busy with different things, that's all.
