Hello. Does anybody think it would be useful to have a precompiled library downloadable from SourceForge? If so, I can upload libxbgtk.a compiled using harbour and libxbgtk.a compiled using xHarbour. -- Respect, Phil mailto:ph...@ma... |

Hello. I uploaded a bugfixed release of xbgtk to SourceForge. It fixes a bug, adds some useful warnings and includes a Makefile for use with xharbour (not differs much from the original Makefile) Also, the current xbgtk code is always available from SourceForge CVS. http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbgtk -- Respect, Phil mailto:ph...@ma... |

Hello. I've uploaded prebuilt wrapper modules to SourceForge (in case you don't want to install Python). -- Respect, Phil mailto:ph...@ma... |

Hello Ron. You wrote: RP> I just downloaded xbgtk, and need your help in understanding the general RP> approach. I wonder if you could provide some overview to the overall RP> scheme. The Makefile currently supports only MinGW/MSYS as build environment. The general approach is: Enter the "source" directory. Run make. What Makefile does: First, it generates the gtk, gdk and atk module wrappers. This is done by the Python program codegen_xb.py. It reads in *.defs and *.override and generates files _gtk.prg, _atk.prg, and _gdk.prg. Then they are compiled and archived with some additional C and Harbour modules. The result is named libxbgtk.a, and you can link it to your programs. Also, your programs should #include the file include/xbgtk.ch. Maybe I should post prebuilt _*.prg to enable users who don't have python build everything. Of course, this is all too straight-forward. I would love to have any volunteers to write some files for automake/autoconf/* and other stuff which I don't clearly understand, build xbgtk for Linux and other platforms, etc. RP> Ron Thanks for your attention, Ron! -- Respect, Phil mailto:ph...@ma... |
