xdtv 2.3.3 dies on scanning channels

  • Nobody/Anonymous

    xdtv in dapper 32 bit dies when scanning for channels (segfault).
    How can I fix this?

      this is a known bug of the version 2.4.0pre0
      I suggest you to use the nightly tarball of the future 2.4.0 version (the next version is out in 1 week). Or you can use the script xdtv-scan.sh

        Oh, and xdtv_scan.sh that comes with that version can't
        detect the video device while it's in plain view.

        uname -a
        Linux beast 2.6.15-27-386 #1 PREEMPT Fri Dec 8 17:51:56 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

        ls -l /dev/vide*
        lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      6 2007-02-07 17:42 /dev/video -> video0
        crw-rw---- 1 root video 81, 0 2007-02-07 17:42 /dev/video0

        Video device not found...

      Thanks for the suggestion, but it's 2.3.3 from your very own repository
      for dapper drake;  not a pre-2.4.

      we release a new version today so..... I suggest to wait for it.
