XAware 6.0 Stable
Released January 11, 2010 - SVN build 6.0.0.461
This stable release contains the results of the following efforts:
• Updates to ensure importing workspaces or projects created with different designer installations work smoothly and profiles are updated.
• Updates to ensure that BizDriver renaming doesn't cause profile clashes.

XAware 6.0 Stable
Released November 30, 2009 - SVN build 6.0.0.400

This stable release contains the results of the following efforts:

* Added the ability to drop XML instances into the tree from a schema.
* Additionally, a fix was added to ensure that data containing '%' characters retain the '%' characters when passed as JMS text messages.

Fixed in this release are the following:

* DE 114 Trees expand upon saving changes in design view within editors.
* DE 160 When schema details are added to a BizDocument, schema file absolute path displays in project navigator below BizDocument.
* DE 163 Incorrect structure generated in working area element when xa:input type element contains children.
* DE 166 Null pointer occurs when moving from Select screen to Map Argument screen in Java BizComponent wizard.
* DE 184 Designer fails to launch after restart.
* DE 185 Unable to execute BizViews from Designer.

XAware 5.4.0.356, GA Release
Released June 15, 2009 - SVN build 5.4.0.356

This Generally Available (GA) release includes the following improved and new features:

* Automatic file reference updates when you Move or Rename BizView files.

* A new service editor for reading and writing binary, text, and XML using the File BizComponent has been implemented. New line-terminated records are now better supported in the File Service editor.... read more

Released May 26, 2009 - SVN build 5.4.0.300

We're pleased to present our latest build of 5.4, which has the following new features and updates:

* Changes to the setSessionVariable functoid to return values.
* Changes in SQL insert behavior to handle missing elements with xa:default (using xa:null or xa:empty).
* Changes in SQL insert behavior to handle database functions in the column map.
* Salesforce BizComponents no longer use the frag set (existing BizComponent will work), and users are recommended to update their BizComponents when possible.
* The Salesforce wizard wizard's base object row template will encompass everything in the target tree.
* Salesforce BizComponents no longer return unsubstituted values for valid fields not returned by Salesforce.
* New BizComponent icons are implemented across the Designer interface.
* JSON input is now supported in the execution and mapping screens, plus a new converter tool has been added.
* A new composite instruction: xa:if/xa:elseif/xa:else has been implemented and is stored in the Palette as a snippet.
* To allow access to the root BizDocument session element or to the root of the original input XML, a new axis is introduced: xa-root.
* Support for non transactional databases has been implemented through a new BizDriver parameter, xa:transactional="no".... read more

Released April 14, 2009 - SVN build 5.4.0.165

We're pleased to present our latest stable build of 5.4, which has the following new features and updates:

The ability to prune unused elements (using xa:optional) in the BizDocument wizard.
Final elaboration and development on the latest service wizard for reading and writing binary, text, and XML using the File BizComponents. Try it out!
We further improved the startup process for the all-in-one install as well.

Released March 16, 2009 - SVN build 5.4.0.107

We're pleased to present the next stable build of 5.4, which has the following new features and updates:

- Oracle CLOBs can now be handled with SQL and Stored Procedure BizComponents. (We're also working BLOB support to be coming soon!)
- The optional extension is now delivered at an XAware instruction (xa:optional). While every effort has been made to ensure the same expected behavior, there is a chance that differences may exist. XAware recommends reviewing the examples and help and migrating any implemented optional extensions to the instruction, when possible.
- Further elaboration on the new File Service wizard resulted in additional improvements, which are being worked on now and will be coming soon.... read more

We're pleased to present the first stable build of 5.4, which has the following new features and updates:

As requested by our community, the Designer now supports automatic file reference updates when you Move (see it now http://www.xaware.org/move.html ) or Rename (see it now http://www.xaware.org/rename.html ) your service files in the projects.

A new Service View has been added for reading and writing binary, text, and XML using the File BizComponent. This feature is still undergoing development, but you can work with it in this stable release and let us know what you think.... read more

XAware Designer has been upgraded to work as a plug-in into Eclipse 3.4.1. The Designer plug-in is now delivered with the following features:

* A new way to create data services, called "data-first design" has been introduced, using the Eclipse Data Source Explorer (DSE) as the starting point. XAware 5.1.1 is GA. This release contains the result of the following efforts:

* The Tomcat configurations for a JMX-enabled console are now delivered in the installer so that users can configure a simple JMX console when necessary.
* JRE 1.5 is now provided in all installers to reduce compliance confusion.
* Improvements to the installation process and starter project provide a better 'getting started' experience for new users.
* New feature for buffering data for transformation by a File BizComponent. The old method of passing data to a file before reading it was inefficient in situations where structured or delimited data needed to be read from a queue and converted to XML. Use the xa:buffer_data and xa:media_type elements in the BizDriver to accomplish this action.
* JMS support for text messages has been improved to escape special characters and to allow the value for the message type to be map, text, or XML. In addition, several bugs related to JMS processing were fixed and tested.
* The auto updater now ensures that users are informed of new releases and the Engine includes the same feature.
* HTTP put and delete results now appear in the Package Assembly Tool when testing the execution.... read more

Release notes are as follows:

A change was made to bring the xa:classname instruction into naming compliance as xa:class_name within the Java BizComponent. This change is not backward compatible, so if you have implemented Java BizComponents, please make this update.

The File BizComponents are now header-aware and will automatically detect the number of input fields and the separator.... read more
