#1 RPC error when attempting to enable SVN

When checking off the 'enable SVN' box in
Admin/Subversion submenu, and clicking 'Update' receive
the following message:

"XML-RPC Error

Unable to check SVN repository. Error 5: Didn't receive
200 OK from remote server. (113 Connect error: No route
to host)"

Note that I AM able to do svn checkout, etc, remotely
but I am trying here to get the web browsing interface
working for my subversion repository at:

svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/xattrfs

Please advise.
