Throughout the code, if there's a possibility for negative numbers and we're doing poor-man's rounding, we're doing it wrong. We need to add a -1 count instead of a +1 count in these instances.
The Xastir project no longer uses sourceforge for issue tracking and I am closing all open issues (all of which are very old).
