thanks for the quick reply, but when i try youre solution it hangs on the animated bootscreen (the flower and the progressbar), i think it could be a vga issue but i dont know how to dissable graphic boot or set up.

Dear readers, i downloaded the latest vixta distro's but they dont work for me.
When i try to use the live cd or dvd it takes a long time to load and there is no install option on the desktop.
Is there a way to instal without using the live version but to install from the boot option.
My system is a Asus A8F 1,66mhz/ 512mb ddr/ 75gig hd and it suports aero from vista

insert the boot option: "liveinst" in the end of the kernel line in the boot menu
