this is mainly directed to those involved in the project. After choosing vixta to use as our company desktop os in order to substitute ms windows, I have found some things that could make things a lot better than today for us.
Include an md5 check for every new release so no corrupted isos are used to install
Update the fedora distro used ase vixta base, because it's been used a Fedora 8 pre release.
Give the choise to download a full DVD to those who want to have all the apps. I.E. I have to install cups, openssh-server, vnc-server, gcc, spanish language and evolution and a module to get klamav to work on automatic mode to every desktop I install. (of course I'm cloning disks to avoid this)
give the choise to customise the installed packages at install time.
I remark that is a great project and I'm supporting it as much as I can, so keep on your effort as we are going to ask many improvements to get it be a popular distro.
Regards,
JP
