#6 Install Samba and AOL can't connect

I installed Samba and from then on was unable to
connect to AOL. It would dial and make all the
normal modem noises, but I would never get a
connect message. It would report that the modem
was not accepting the setup commands.

I uninstalled Samba with the package uninstaller
and the problem persisted until I rebooted.

It's hard to tell if the problem is AOL or Samba but
somehow they are not cooperating. I don't really
need Samba I was just interested in learning
about it, so this isn't an emergency.
