I'm having trouble running some BNC XML searches using Xaira.
I'm using a Macbook Pro with Windows on VMFusion Ware. Xaira is fine with simple searches (up to two words in 'Phrase')  but anything more than that causes problems. When I check the Windows Task Manager, the message flicks between 'Running' and 'Not Responding'. 
CPU usage on Windows while my last search ('in the way of') was underway was 50%. PF usage was 729MB.
The virtual machine has 880MB RAM and the disk size is 88GB.
Can anyone help me?  I obviously need to change some parameter but I have no idea which one.

I should add that I've now installed BNC XML on a normal desktop PC and I am having the same problem, so I don't actually think it's a Mac/VMFusion problem. A Phrase search on both the laptop and the desktop works for "in the" but not for "in the way" and certainly not for "in the way of". I've previously used BNC World Edition and searches such as this were entirely straightforward. Any advice from anyone very welcome.

I have now tried deleting the version of Xaira that came with my CDs on a PC and have downloaded the most up to date version from Sourceforge. The problem still occurs: a phrase search for "in the way of" crashes Xaira: Windows Task Manager indicates Xaira stops responding in approximately 3 seconds.  The same thing happens with "in the way". A phrase search for "in the" works fine.
Any help greatly appreciated.
