XagentX-ja ('ja' stands for 'Jabber is Avalonic')
is Java Implementation Of Jabber
Server on top of Jakarta-Avalon Framework.
Its uses the Design Paradigms and the
exisiting components within the Avalon/Phoenix
infrastructure to have a scalable and
robust version of JabberServer in Java.
XagentX version of Jabber is cleanly
designed and aimed to be as generic as possible
so that any XML-based IM implementation can be
deployed on top of it .

This forum aims at evolving and aiding the JXTA world by developing parallel applications/frameworks for JXTA p2p systems.

Avalon (http://jakarta.apache.org/avalon)
is the currently selected target framework that development would be carried on (until someone comes up with the reason for not using it) .
