    Like another user here I am having a problem getting x360mediaserve to launch.  Here is the error I recieve.

    slick@Slick-Room:~/x360mediaserve-0.0.1$ sudo bash start 192.168.0.110

    I deleted every twonky file I could get my hands on to make sure it was not that, I removed my IRC client as I don't really use it and I heard that could also take port 7000.  I added

    PATH=$PATH:/usr/bin/
    export PATH

    to my bash_profile because whereis java returns /usr/bin/java /usr/X11R6/bin/java /usr/bin/X11/java /usr/share/java /usr/share/man/man1/java.1.gz --------- So I am guessing that is what I am supposed to do (kind of new to linux).  Not really sure what else I should do?

      first off don't run it as root.
      other than that i found that using my network address ./start 192.168.1.100 solved, my problem however you may want to do a netstat -a to see if something else is binding on port 7000.  What version of java are you using?  java -version  thanks.
