which does NOT use nick service. While there is nothing in perticular about X2 that would conflict with having nickserv, it makes little sense to run a nickserv if you don't run an integrated channel service, since the main benifit of nickserv is easy identification. X2 uses "handles" instead of nicks to identify people, and handles are not global, they are on a per-channel level. Under the X2 model, spesifying a channel and a handle, is sufficient to identify someone. |
