Hi Igor
Yes... my fault. I should have mentioned the complete architecture,
including HW platform.
I defined X10_PLATFORM and X10LIB (pointing to PGAS for Solaris/Sparc)
just to see what would happen. I was expecting to find errors during
link step but, in fact, errors popped up during compilation, as you can
see below:

Meanwhile, I'm reverting to Linux. It will demand some effort because my
Linux box is now a production box and I'm not planning to use it for
development. So, I will have to install a Linux zone on top of Solaris.
I was not planning to become a well skilled Solaris sysadmin :(
