#5 erroneous automatic accents

Hi,

x-symbol is continually converting strings like 'e and
:i to accented characters. It is really annoying. Has
anyone else had this problem and/or have a solution.

I'm running xemacs 21.4.13 and 21.4.15 on two separate
machines and x-symbol 4.5.beta.9.

I've got the following (amongst other things) in my
.xemacs/custom.el file

'(x-symbol-tex-modes (quote (latex-mode tex-mode
plain-tex-mode noweb-mode)))
'(font-lock-mode t nil (font-lock)))

and in my custom.el file:
(x-symbol-initialize)
