Welcome all comers! wxWorkshop is a cross-platform Integrated Development Environment (IDE) designed for and developed with wxWindows/wxWidgets. The IDE currently provides workspaces, projects, source editors, UI layout editing capability, integration of your choice of compilers, and lots more. Much of the original work was done by Aleksandras Gluchovas, and was originally assoicated with the wxStudio project long ago as well. The project languished when Aleks moved on to other things, including plans of commercializing some portions of the code he had written for wxWorkshop. wxWorkshop is granted full use of all the libraries and code currently in CVS under the wxWorkshop project at SourceForge. For further details on the project, see: http://wxworkshop.sourceforge.net/ The FrameLayout (FL) library has previously been incorporated as a contribution to wxWindows/wxWidgets. It needs work, but is functional, and shows great potential. The MS VisualC 6.0 IDE is now able to compile wxWorkshop in conjunction with wxWidgets 2.5.x. Updates to allow this were checked in on 5/16/2004. Whether all features that are accessed in wxWidgets work correctly the way the code is written, I am still unsure of. My task was simply to get everything to compile, then worry about whether things work after we see if there is interest enough in reviving the project. g |
