Finally, I've got the library directories building and installing in 
/usr/local/lib in my case.  So now I am working on the ws directory, 
hoping to have an executable soon.  I am also going to try to use the 
xrc libraries in wxWidgets-2.6.1 rather than the one included in the 
contrib subdirectory.
