Since Sean Redmond has already developed a nice search engine (see http://libycus.sourceforge.net/ ) and now Dimitri Marinakis has developed a beta code to unicode interpretor (see http://cap8.gr/tlgu/ ), we've decided to start the project over and build a cross-platform user interface that will wrap around these other great tools as well as adding browsing, printing, and export functionality.
Thanks to the generosity of Chris Francis, the project now has an Apple MacIntosh computer. (Actually, we've had it for some time, but forgot to post it.)
We're still awaiting the arrival of OS X 10.3 ("Panther"), but it should arrive any day now. (We could compile the code here on the SourceForge Compile Farm, but we couldn't test it.)
A new mail list was created so that subscribers can be informed of new releases and other pertinent information regarding the wxTLG project. Since users cannot post to the list, traffic will be very low.
After 3 years in planning and testing, wxTLG finally has an alpha version. The project still needs volunteers experienced in wxWindows programming to compile and test on the Mac. (Windoze, RedHat, and Mandrake all covered.) Please contact the project admin at bkp@users.sourceforge.net if you can volunteer time or equipment (Mac w/OSX).
