Windows Release

wxSword-0.1.1 now has improved support (aka it is now possible) for building under Windows with MinGW/Cygwin. Binaries are availble in the .zip file which has been uploaded and sources for building on either Linux or Windows are available in the .tar.bz2 file.

First beta-release out

The first, simple, beta-release of wxSword is out now. There are very few features, but it does compile and build if an already extant version of wxGTK 2.6 - Unicode and wxMozilla (preferably the CVS version) are built and installed as well as the Sword library.

This version now has support for all of the basic book formats and, if you get the latest version of wxMozilla (post 0.5.5) will properly display non-Latin characters, although I am still working with right-to-left texts, like Hebrew.

wxSword created!

wxSword was officially born today, in its SourceForge incarnation. It is still ridiculously new, only supporting the basic functionality accompanying opening Bibles, Commentaries and General Books and synchronizing Bibles with Commentaries. More to come soon, hopefully! While the project is still new and young, you're more than encouraged to join in and help. In fact, you're more than welcome to do that at any time.
